An absolutely perfect hotel for a family stay. We were here in March, a couple with a two year old child, and we couldn’t have chosen a better hotel. The bungalows are so nice as an alternative to a multi-storey hotel block, and make for a really tranquil complex where everywhere has beautiful clear sky.

With the one bedroom bungalows, you still have a fully separate living room which meant while our child was napping, we had space of our own - as well as an outdoor terrace with your own table, chairs and sun loungers. There’s a kettle and a nespresso machine - they even give you fresh pods every day!

We were placed near the family pool which is surprisingly peaceful - no music playing and no bar, and a perfect pool for swimming with your kids as well as a baby pool and little fountain area. You’re only a few minutes walk from the larger pool which also has a bar nearby. There’s a small supermarket just off the hotel which is great for buying essentials, snacks, drinks and wine/beer.

There’s a small gym which I used most days and it was never too busy, I usually had it to myself over lunch time, and it has views over the pool while you work out.

From our room’s porch, we could see behind a little fence a public path to the beach (following the empty “canal” alongside the dunes). Every day I spotted the same thing - people stopping and looking at the hotel complex where they could see the bungalows, looking it up and taking pictures sometimes. I’m certain they were all thinking the same thing - “we should have booked here!”

The only criticism I’d say is the food at the buffet is nothing special. Fine for breakfast, but lunch and evening meals we preferred to go out. But it’s a huge operation they run here and the kitchen and restaurant staff are all friendly and efficient and they have their hands always full with families coming through. We were impressed by the staff with every interaction we had

Location is great - a leisurely ten to fifteen minute stroll down to the beach front, where there are cafes and bars, and you can get buses from near the hotel to across the island

Don’t upgrade to all inclusive!!!

Wir (Paar 57 Jahre) waren im März 2024 zwei Wochen im Suites & Villas by Dunas. Nachdem uns die Lage des angebotenen Zimmers nicht gefiel, wurden uns unkompliziert und freundlich mehrere andere Suites gezeigt - prima. Die Anlage ist gepflegt und sauber. Die Bausubstanz ist den südlichen Gepflogenheiten nach wie immer nicht mit deutschen Maßstäben vergleichbar, teilweise ging es aber über Schönheitsfehler wie Rost oder klapprige Fenster und Türen hinaus. Die angebrochene Betonstütze über der Veranda bereitete mir etwas Sorgen. Die Zimmer sind hellhörig. Die Animation ist bemüht. Wer Volleyball spielen oder abends tanzen möchte ist hier fehl am Platze. Die Massagen im SPA sind zwar nicht günstig, dafür aber sehr gut. Das Essen (Buffet) ist grenzwertig, geschmacklos und meist steinhart bis verbrannt. Die Abwechslung hält sich in Grenzen. Der Speiseraum ist laut und hat Kantinencharakter.
Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut. 20 Minuten bis zum Strand oder 4x am Tag ein Shuttlebus. Wir kommen nicht wieder.
