The building is beautiful, I don’t know if I’ve ever seen such a beautiful Auberge de Jeunesse. Staff was quite friendly. Unfortunately, I couldn’t try their breakfast because I had to leave very early, but from what I saw, it looked great.
However, the price for a bed was quite expensive, considering that it’s an Auberge de Jeunesse. The showers & toilets were abysmal, this needs to be fixed!! And when I was there in summer, they had no A/C at all, which should be a given when you are in Marseille. The location also isn’t the greatest: You have to take the metro to the last stop, and then walk for another 15 minutes (in grueling heat, should you be there in summer).
However, overall I have good memories of the place because the building was so beautiful and the staff super nice.
