We just got back 2 days ago ,
Rooms : The rooms are a bit on the smaller side , but extremely clean. The view of the ocean was magnificent . Bathroom was modern .
Service: We landed really early around 8:30 am , and met EVELYN at the front desk . I’m from the hospitality industry and the warmth and kindness shown by her felt like family .
She arranged our beach loungers took care of our luggage and managed to check us in by 11 am . The front desk experience we had on arrival set the tone . Props to ROSA too for being right there with everything.
Location: It’s on the North corner of the main strip , busy road but surrounded by bars and restaurants, $8 Uber to Los Olas and all
Its restaurants. Do not miss Nanous Sunrise a coffee shop next to the hotel, and if you love spicy the Thai restaurant next door .
The Pool Bar was manned by Andy who was very friendly and attentive.
I guess overall my Experience and Impression of Sonesta was the People . They made our two night stay worth it .

Do not go here. The only reason they’re getting 2 stars instead of 1 is because of the location. But even at that, the ridiculous daily charge for beachfront access/the chair on the beach, should not exist. I work at a hotel and I’ve stayed at many in my life, including beachfront ones that had their own beach chairs, and that is not right. We’re already paying for beachfront and chairs are pretty standard to be included.
Beyond that, the service is nonexistent. We called for some milk to the room (because you get coffee pods but no creamer or milk to add to it) but I was put on hold 3 times by the front desk woman before I could finally ask for it. Only for her to tell me I had to call the restaurant for that, so she transfers me to the restaurant. The man who picked up said he’s busy and will call me back. I’m still waiting on the call back. My stay was 2 weeks ago. What a disaster you guys are. Geez.
Bathrooms were severely underwhelming, the shampoo dispenser was empty upon arrival. We asked for someone to come fill it. They never came.
I will say though, that the view was very nice and location was convenient. But there are many other hotels with the same view and convenient location. Go literally anywhere else along the coast. Sonesta is not worth it. Hope you guys up your service game.

Beautiful location - tons of walking distance bars and pubs. Wonderful attentive staff! And the Valet staff are on point!!!

I don’t write reviews. I don’t believe in them. However, if I can save an unsuspecting family from the horrendous experience that I am currently having, I will try. The service at this hotel is bad. There is no room service! I mean, what the heck? Why? Upon check-in, nobody explained that I had to put in a special request for room cleaning and towel replacement. Covid has been over for a long time. My family and I came back from the beach and were surprised to see no new towels, and the room was not cleaned. I called to speak with the manager, who informed me that I needed to make a special request. I can be accommodated with clean towels but no cleaning of the room. Yes! I won the lottery.
Only to find out that after placing this ‘special request’ in the morning and returning from a day at the pool, I don’t have towels. I proceeded to call and ask for towels. Half an hour later, I still do not have clean towels, but I do have two kids in cold and wet swimsuits. They have a peach with cold water but no plastic glasses in the pool area.
Come on, Sonesta Hotel. I understand you don’t care about my business, clearly by the lack of service, but I’m sure you care about your reputation.

Not getting value for money. Bad service - have to ask for things for a couple times, room service was inconsistent and bad quality, the restaurant is a joke, very slow and rude. Ripping off for anything possible - early check-in, late check-out, umbrellas etc.

They have overpriced add-on charges (e.g., valet parking and resort fees at about $100 per day) that are effectively mandatory. Yet they don't have simple things like free coffee in the lobby in the morning.
The people are cordial and helpful.
The rooms are excellent but are showing some wear. Our view was very outstanding (9th floor), no doubt the best part of the experience.
The televisions are outdated, no movie channels are available, and you cannot cast from your device.
All in, I doubt we will return.

My family and I always book the Sonesta when we venture down to Fort Lauderdale. As always, front desk staff were great to us. Andy, the bartender was fantastic!

Housekeeping knocked on my door two times a day asking when I was checking out!… what!? I had a napping toddler and myself at 6 months pregnant trying to take daily naps and was always woken up by house keeping knocking on the door. Apparently their “systems” weren’t linking correctly to update them on our room details/stay. Made for an extremely unpleasant stay. The room was nice. Location nice. Valet parking only at about $46/day so be prepared for high fees upon checkout.

Room was freezing. Service was blah, I was told they didn’t have room service…and they did because I was able to order room service that same day and the next day. At checkout the woman barely acknowledged me and didn’t bother to say thank you.

-Thin walls so you hear every other guest's exit and entry, including their conversations
-Bathroom is pretty underwhelming compared to other hotels on the strip
-We got the corner room which had amazing views, and a comfortable bed.
-AC was pretty temperamental, and struggled to manage a consistent temperature.
-Front of house staff were hit and miss. Some were extremely helpful and polite but others clearly weren't interested in customer service and would stop a conversation midway with a customer to have a casual chat with their colleague or forget requests we asked.
-A number of times we asked for someone to deliver something to the room such as cutlery but it never arrived.
-Restaurant was okay, would eat there again but nothing to write home about.
-Many facilities were out of order such as the pool or elevators on our trip.
Overall, we would probably come again just for the location, decent rooms and occasional friendly service but hopefully everything is working.

We ate breakfast there and I have to say, the server was the worst that we ever had. I'm tops in the country for reviews for restaurants and I have never had issues like this. Forgot many items, would not take more than one order, meaning if it was food, could not put your drinks in. The server would take a while to come back and the orders weren't right. The brinks were watered down to say the least. The server brought coffee without cream, sugar, and spoons. Breakfast here was just a miserable experience and the restaurant wasn't even busy.
The food was good though but didn't balance out for bad service.

DO NOT book your stay here at this hotel. My daughter and her friends booked a room and are very responsible young adults. The hotel fee is totally ridiculous. For this daily fee it’s suppose to include yoga/exercise classes only on weekends, but they arrived Monday and left Friday. So not even being there on a weekend they were charged anyway. If they wanted to take a class they would have been happy to pay but they were charged for something they were not there for. Even though each of the four girls paid a fee, the four girls who shared a room only received two drinks. Same for the beach chairs-four girls paid and only two chairs were allocated The woman at the desk was totally unhelpful. We will never book here again or recommend to any friends or family.

Nous avons séjourné du 17 au 19 avril 2015 à cet hôtel. Un peu loin à distance de marche des principaux restaurants qui longent la plage mais c'est acceptable. otez que la plage est juste en face, une rue à traverser. Belle chambre et confortable.

Our room was large with great big picture window to look at the amazing view of the waterfront!!
We enjoyed our breakfast at The Steelpan restaurant!! I enjoyed eggs, Benedict with ham and my husband enjoyed large delicious buffet ????
We had relaxing time at the beach and hotel pool ????????
We enjoyed dinner at the Steelpan restaurant ???? I had delicious Angus Beef Burger and fries and husband Cuban Pork sandwich !! Both of us enjoyed our dinner ????
Special praise to all the staff !! Excellent service with our luggage, reception desk and restaurant staff ????????
