在米兰中央车站之后，这个车站是城市中最重要的一个车站：每年有大约2500万的旅客经过这里。它接受郊区、地区和国家的列车，也接受连接米兰和巴黎的TGV列车（里昂火车站）。从这个车站开始，人们可以在火车上与贝加梅、克莱蒙、瓦雷兹、都灵、博洛尼、佛罗伦萨、罗马、那不勒斯以及萨勒内等城市会合。1961年投入使用，该车站的名字来自于该城市的古代统治者加里波第门附近。

Cette gare qui permet de prendre le TGV pour Lyon/Paris est pas très bien dotée en terme d'équipement, pas de sieges pour patiencer, un wifi qui marche pas et peu de cafés ... bref le temps est long

it has been improved for teh expo and now there are some shops inside. Outside the area is a bit rough at night so I would suggest to stay outside just the minimum necessary. The passante has got many liens going thorugh that and the trains to Lyon Paris leave from there. 2 underground lines are stopping there. The area around is impressive for the buildings (the famous bosco).
