Exceptional masterpiece of Romanino, a '500 painter who is not well known but was awarded the contract for this beautiful small church in the town of Pisogne at the top of the lake and at the beginning of Val Camonica. The colours have been used by Tiepolo afterwards and the figures are drawned in a unique way where the contours are always well defined. The natural sizes are sometimes not respected but the crucifizion scene is spectacular (look at the soldiers playing dices).
