We recently enjoyed a day pass at the Hilton Cartagena where the staff were outstanding and the service was excellent. However, we were hoping for a quieter retreat and were disappointed to find that the beach, advertised as private, was actually quite busy and frequently disrupted by vendors offering services and tours. While the pools were refreshing, the lack of shaded areas made it challenging to fully relax during the midday heat. Future visitors might want to consider these factors; we certainly wish we had known beforehand.
