1995年投入使用，是全国第一条唯一的地铁。现代、舒适和快速，它的航空部分在任何时候都能提供美丽的景色。它有两条主要的轴线：北部-南部（A线连接Niquía至Itagüí的车站）和中部-西部（B线连接San Antonio和San Javier的车站）。地铁与Metrocables相连，这些线路是为山坡上的居民区而建的。地铁票可用于进入地铁站，也可在组合列车的框架内反转。

excellent service for the commuters of Medellin. It divide (or better unite) in two the city on the bottom of the valley but also link the top popular neighbour with the center. Marvellous idea to help the citizens and also well maintained and serviced.

Le metro clair agreable et sécurisé pour un voyage à peu de frais. Le métro câble ça c'est une autre histoire m'impression de partir à la montagne mais lorsque vous passez au dessus des quartiers défavorisés on comprends mieux l'intérêt pour la population qui y vit tout sont intérêt.
