CORSICA CANYON

Un bon moment passé en compagnie de Julian... Quelques frayeurs me concernant, mais il a su me rassurer et trouver une solution pour contourner les deux épreuves que je n'ai pas réussi à faire !
En tout cas une belle expérience en famille !
Et malgré cette peur je recommencerai ????. Bonne continuation à vous ????‍♀️????

We (2 persons) booked the Vacca itinerary in the afternoon. On my side, I already had experience climbing, swimming, jumping from 3-5m and obstacle runs.

The guy at the welcome “desk” was very nice and helpful to explain whatever was needed. However, next step was to get the suits, helmets, harness and shoes. The organisation and the preparation were made hectically. You do not have the possibility to try the suit before. One of the two pair of shoes we received were in a very bad state one missing velcro and one velcro that didn’t stick anymore and was basically hanging. Spoiler: I lost a shoe during one of the jumps.

Climb and return: the times to get to the starting point (two ways) were realistically indicated on the website, however the guide was racing it. On the return path there was a woman who couldn’t keep up with the group and there wasn’t much importance given.

Physical condition: it’s best to have a good cardio and good calves because the return trip of an hour and a half is done in a very small path in the maquis with a 300m elevation.

Canyon: Amazing views, very balanced obstacles with jumps, sliding, swimming and climbing. The Vacca canyon is exclusively made up of jumps, almost all of which can be bypassed by rope if you don't feel it.

Guiding: Christophe was well prepared in terms of handling the equipment and the route, however the soft skills were an issue for me personally. I felt that my initial lack of confidence was seen as a problem and followed me for the rest of the route even if I already gained more confidence. Don’t expect to receive a lot of special consideration from the guide as he has to manage 12 people.

All in all a good experience, but with some hectic aspects which can be burdensome for some people.

Enfants de 15 à 18 ans ravis de leur expérience encadrée par un moniteur sympathique (Marco le Sarde). Groupe de niveau assez homogène, facilement la progression (certains obstacles peuvent être contournés au cas où ). En revanche, départ vers 8h40 et à 10h30 c’était plié. On est donc loin des 3 heures indiqués sur le site internet pour la sortie (Pulischellu). Par ailleurs, pas de tarif groupe (5 personnes minimum) alors qu’ils étaient 4 et que nous venions ici par recommandation suite à la visite d’une amie de nos enfants 1 semaine avant avec un groupe. Désolant. Comme le prix des photos (40€ les 4) avec lien internet. A noter l’impossible de payer par CB alors que la carte est en revanche nécessaire pour valider la réservation internet : interpellant…Précisons enfin le parking payant à 5€ sur le site (indépendant de la société) toutefois assez facilement évitable, comme au Col de Bavella

Aucune organisation. Réservation prise et finalement annulée le matin même sans même un coup de fil. Résultat, 2h30 de route pour rien et 2 enfants déçus… aucune solution à proposer ni aucune compensation. préférez la concurrence, vous aurez les mêmes canyons mais avec un peu de chance, plus de sérieux….
